What Mountain View, CA residents need to know about mini face lift

Today, a woman or man who wants to look younger has many treatment options. Yet no non- or minimally invasive procedure can replicate the results of a surgical facelift. The mini face lift is very popular at Menkes Clinic & Surgery Center in Mountain View, CA. Dr. Andrew Menkes explains why, and what you should know if considering this cosmetic surgery.

What it is

Mini face lift is a surgical procedure that targets sagging skin and wrinkles on the lower portion of the face – nasolabial folds, jowls, and loose skin under the chin. Dr. Menkes makes small incisions around the ears to remove excess tissue and artistically lift and tighten skin and muscles. The procedure is tailored to address your concerns, such as a more defined jawline.

A mini lift can be combined with Botox, dermal fillers, brow lift, or neck lift for a comprehensive rejuvenation approach.

What is isn’t

A mini face lift should NOT be confused with procedures such as thread lift, feather lift, or quick lift. They use dissolving suture material to raise skin, but do nothing with underlying muscle structure. Results are short-term.

In this case “mini” refers only to a less involved procedure than a full facelift, with reduced trauma and recovery time. Dr. Menkes has advanced training and experience in SMAS – superficial muscular aponeurotic system. This technique deals with lax skin, and alters muscle and fat tissues that support skin. A subcutaneous (skin-only) lift cannot deliver the same dramatic yet natural-looking results.

Qualifications count

You naturally want the best when your appearance and health are at stake. Dr. Menkes holds dual Board certifications, in both dermatology and internal medicine. He is a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons and International Society of Dermatologic Surgeons. Since 1984, he has been helping residents of Mountain View, CA enjoy healthy skin and look younger with procedures like the mini face lift.
